Two clips from a BBC Wales Music Dept co-production with Sony Music Classical and PBS America.

June 2003, five days were spent in a hotel room in Rome, turning around this operatic concert, staged against the Colosseum  backdrop.

 

Working alongside Steve Eveleigh,  I cut a BBC2 60 minute, a 90 minute BBC4. In addition we edited an alternative 60 minute version for PBS America that was transmitted the next day via a satellite uplink.

Thankfully I don't need to work through the night these days.

 

A technically challenging, demanding project that was amazing to be involved in.

 

This was the first time an Avid Unity system was utilised by BBC Wales & following it's success was installed and radically upgraded the post dept' into a 'joined up' facility that could efficiently & effectively manage Doctor Who when it arrived. Chris Blatchford's progressive dept' leadership was vital to the successful of many Wales based projects & my positive approach to working within BBC Wales Post Production.
