Originally the question gfx for this show were to be played into a studio screen. It was decided before RX1 to have the questions reveal as overlays in post. Post nightmare graphics were designed for studio so weren't TV caption safe. 4 wks were spent with only 4 days to TX rebuilding the graphics with HUGEDESIGNS & CAT & MOUSE. (It was also an extra little sequence added in the online having a light joke about this... with Louis Walsh & Simon Cowell commenting).
WORKING LUNCH Always ensure you have a good balanced meal when working through lunch.	EDITING EQUATION Always spend at least 3 hours of your edit making a table... it helps to explain why you can't easily edit material that hasn't been logged or labelled.	I LOVE TRANSCRIPTS Always use highlighters on transcripts that have been logged from the Avid's compiled timeline timecode... NEVER USE THE MASTER RUSHES TIMECODE... that would be pointless. RULE OF THUMB. Logging correct = Happiness Logging wrong = Bleeding ulcer!

ANNIE NIGHTINGALE When editing a BBC4 special about Annie Nightingale's life in broadcasting use all the plug in applications. A good example of how to make archive and stills interesting with a limited budget and timeframe but all in all an enjoyable project.

An element of Pt 3 where comedians discuss some of the more inappropriate material written & performed by them. Satarised by Not The Nine O'clock News, 'Two Ninnies' sketch. I literally cried editing this sequence... one of the funniest things I have EVER witnessed. Gryff Rhys Jones on screen as Corbet. (RIP Mel Smith, sad loss) & John Lloyd... hero!
